Leading UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families’ (UnitingCare CYPF) commitment to social justice advocacy,
the Social Justice Unit champions evidence based programs and public
policies that can improve the lives of vulnerable children, young people
and families. With a strong focus on research,
the Social Justice Unit uses an evidence based approach to influence
public policy at the State and Commonwealth level. The Social Justice
Unit also ensures UnitingCare CYPF programs are best practice and based in evidence.
Through involvement in various campaigns, the Social Justice Unit creates opportunities for action by the UnitingCare network, the wider Church and the community. This important work recognises that in order to transform lives, we
must not only focus on change with individuals, families and even
communities, but on the systems and structures that impact on their
lives. Read about our team.
